This watercolour paint set is perfect for beginners or hobby artists. A water brush is provided which is the perfect companion for paining outdoors or on trips. This set includes brilliant bright colours, including metallic and neon colours.

To get started, you can get to know the colours by experimenting on scrap paper. Mix each colour to see it’s intensities and shades – add more or less water to your preference. You will see so many possibilities of colour and shades. 

Tools and materials that can be used for watercolour paint:

• Brushes: Watercolor brushes usually have soft bristles and come in various shapes (round, flat, mop). Synthetic and natural hair brushes are both used, with natural hair brushes often prized for their ability to hold water.
• Paper: Watercolor paper is specially designed to handle the wetness of watercolor paint without warping. It comes in different weights (measured in gsm) and textures. Our 160gsm paper journals are perfect for watercolour paint
• Canvas: For watercolour paint, the best canvas to use would be a canvas with 100% cotton. They will help the watercolor soak in nicely and help with water retention
• Palette: Used for mixing colors. Palettes can be made of plastic, ceramic, or metal.
• Water Container: This is essential for rinsing brushes and diluting paints. Our Faber-Castell Waterpot is perfect for this.
